Eligibility Criteria for UPSSSC FSL Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline as per the post. For the Biology domain, a B.Sc. in Biology or Forensic Science with specialization in Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell Biology, or Microbiology is required. For Physics, a B.Sc. in Physics or Forensic Science with specialization in Physics, Nuclear Science, Instrumentation, or Electronics is needed. Alternatively, a B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering is acceptable. For Chemistry, a B.Sc. in Chemistry or Forensic Science with specialization in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required. For Computer Science, a B.Sc. in Computer Science or an ‘A’ Level Diploma from NIELIT is acceptable. All qualifications must be obtained on or before 17 August 2026.
Age Limit (as on 1 July 2026): The minimum age is 21 years. The maximum age for General/EWS candidates is 40 years. SC/ST/OBC (UP Domicile) candidates get 5 years relaxation (up to 45 years). PwBD candidates can avail 10 to 15 years relaxation depending on the category. Ex-servicemen and other reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per UP government rules.
PET-2025 Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have appeared in the UP PET 2025 examination and received a valid scorecard. Candidates who scored zero or negative marks in PET will not be shortlisted for the main exam. UPSSSC FSL Salary 2026
Scientific Assistant posts will be placed in Pay Level-6 with a salary range of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. Laboratory Assistant posts will be in Pay Level-4 with a salary range of ₹25,500 to ₹81,100. Selected candidates will also be entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, medical facilities, and other benefits as per UP government rules.
