Eligibility Criteria for CIL MT 2026
Educational Qualification
- Civil / Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering: Degree in relevant engineering branch with minimum 60% marks.
- Systems (IT/CS): B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in CS/IT or relevant first-class degree with MCA.
- Electronics & Telecom: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in relevant branch with minimum 60% marks.
- Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology/Applied Geology/Geophysics/Applied Geophysics with minimum 60% marks.
- Rajbhasha (Hindi): MA in Hindi with 60% marks and graduation with Hindi/English as main subjects with 50% marks.

Exam Pattern for CIL MT 2026
The CBT will be held in one sitting of 3 hours. There are two papers, each containing 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of 100 marks.

- Paper II: Professional Knowledge (Discipline-wise) – 100 Q, 100 Marks.
