BEML Limited has announced a major apprenticeship opportunity for candidates seeking practical industry training after completing ITI, Diploma or Graduation. The recruitment drive offers a total of 1,346 apprenticeship training slots at BEML manufacturing complexes located in Bangalore, Mysore, KGF and Palakkad. The engagement will be for one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

The online application process started on August 18, 2026, and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the BEML recruitment portal until September 8, 2026, up to 11:00 PM. There is no application fee for this apprenticeship engagement. Candidates should complete their NAPS or NATS registration and ensure that their profile and documents are updated before applying through the BEML portal.

BEML Apprentice Vacancy Details

The 1,346 training slots are distributed among four BEML locations. Bangalore has 400 slots, Mysore has 227, KGF has 608 and Palakkad has 111 slots. Opportunities are available across engineering disciplines, non-engineering degree streams, diploma branches and several ITI trades.

Graduate-level opportunities include Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Civil, Computer Science and allied disciplines. General degree opportunities include BBA, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc and related streams depending on the location. Diploma candidates can apply for relevant engineering and technology branches.

ITI candidates can find vacancies in trades such as COPA, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Turner, Welder, Carpenter, Tool and Die Making, Plumber and other listed trades. Candidates should carefully check the trade and location-wise vacancy table before applying.

Eligibility Criteria

For Graduate Technical Apprentices, candidates must possess a relevant B.E. or B.Tech qualification from a recognized university or institute. Graduate General or Non-Engineering Apprentices require a relevant graduation qualification such as B.A., B.Com, B.B.A., B.C.A., B.Sc. or an equivalent qualification as specified for the particular vacancy. Diploma Apprentices require a relevant Diploma in Engineering or Technology, while Trade Apprentices must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized NCVT or SCVT institute.

Candidates who are awaiting final examination results are not eligible. Applicants who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in any organization for any duration are also not eligible. The minimum age mentioned is 18 years, while the upper age limit will be governed by the applicable BEML apprenticeship rules.

Application Process

Applicants for ITI trades must first register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme portal, while eligible Degree and Diploma candidates need registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme portal. Their profiles should be fully completed and required documents uploaded before obtaining the applicable enrolment or registration number.

After registration, candidates need to visit the BEML apprenticeship recruitment portal, complete the online form, provide their NAPS or NATS details and enter valid bank account information for Direct Benefit Transfer. Required certificates, photograph, signature and identity documents should be uploaded in the prescribed format. The completed application must be submitted before the closing deadline.

Selection Process

BEML will not conduct a written examination or interview for this apprenticeship engagement. Applications will initially be screened against the prescribed eligibility requirements. A category-wise merit list will be prepared for individual trades and locations. Candidates shortlisted for document verification will generally be called in a ratio of up to 1:5 against the available training slots.

The final merit position will be determined primarily on the basis of marks obtained in the final qualifying examination, subject to successful document verification and fulfillment of all applicable conditions. Selected candidates will receive an offer of engagement subject to availability of training slots. Eligible candidates not immediately selected may be placed on a reserved waiting panel.

BEML Apprentice Stipend

The monthly stipend varies according to the apprenticeship category. Four-year full-time engineering graduates and eligible three-year full-time general graduates are listed for a stipend of Rs. 12,300 per month. Three-year full-time Diploma apprentices are eligible for Rs. 10,900 per month. ITI apprentices receive Rs. 9,600 or Rs. 10,560 per month depending on the trade.

Documents Required

Candidates should keep their NAPS or NATS registration details, educational certificates and mark sheets, matriculation certificate for date-of-birth proof, applicable caste certificate, bank cancelled cheque or passbook, recent passport-size photograph, signature and a valid government identity document ready. The Aadhaar, matriculation certificate and bank account details should contain matching personal information, and the bank account must support DBT.
