AVNL Recruitment 2026 Overview
Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced a massive recruitment drive for 1,213 Executive and Non-Executive posts. The online application window which started on 11 July 2026 will close today, 31 July 2026. Candidates who are interested in building a career with a Government of India Defence PSU must submit their applications at the earliest.

AVNL Vacancy 2026 Distribution
AVNL has announced a total of 1,213 vacancies. Out of these, 1,005 posts are in the Non-Executive category while 208 posts are in the Executive category. The Non-Executive posts include Junior Technician in various trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Machinist, Welder, Painter, and more. The Executive posts include Junior Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Manager, Deputy General Manager, Additional General Manager, and Consultant.
AVNL Eligibility Criteria
The educational qualification varies by post. For Junior Technician posts, candidates must have NTC/NAC in the relevant trade from NCVT. For Junior Manager posts, a B.E./B.Tech in the relevant engineering branch is required. For HR and Finance posts, a graduate degree with MBA or relevant diploma is required. The maximum age limit for Technician and Manager level posts is 30 years, while for Senior Manager and above it is 65 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen.
AVNL Application Fee
The application fee for General, EWS and OBC candidates is Rs. 300. SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying any fee. All female candidates also do not need to pay any application fee.
AVNL Selection Process
The selection process for AVNL Recruitment 2026 consists of three stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Trade Test / Interview
- Document Verification
Candidates must qualify the CBT to be shortlisted for the next rounds.
AVNL Exam Pattern 2026
The CBT will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). There is no negative marking. The exam is divided into two parts:
- Part I: General Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability, Computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude ā 10 questions each (50 marks total)
- Part II: Trade / Discipline ā 50 questions (50 marks)
AVNL Salary Structure
The salary for selected candidates will range from Rs. 25,050 to Rs. 1,29,000 per month depending on the post. For example, Junior Technician gets Rs. 25,050, Junior Manager gets Rs. 34,500, Assistant Manager gets Rs. 45,000, Deputy Manager gets Rs. 55,500, Senior Manager gets Rs. 76,500, Deputy General Manager gets Rs. 87,000, Additional General Manager gets Rs. 1,08,000, and Consultant gets Rs. 1,29,000, in addition to IDA and other allowances.
